Carpet

Dyeing

To prolong the life of carpet, regular professional cleaning is recommended. However, even the best carpet cleaning may not always eliminate stubborn stains and does not, unfortunately, deal with the effect of fading and chemical spills such as bleach, all of which are not covered by any warranties.
We provide expert carpet dyeing services to restore faded carpets and rugs. This is an alternative to replacing otherwise good carpets which are still in good condition but may not suit your colour scheme.

However, not all carpet materials are dyeable such as those made from cheaper inferior materials such as polyester and olefin. If you are uncertain what your carpet is made from, we can test the fibres to ascertain the fibre content

Guaranteed Service
Our Carpet Dye services are fully guaranteed and eliminate the need for costly replacement of the carpet due to unsightly stains or simply wanting a change of colour. For repair of unsightly stains we may be able to remove the stain by bleaching it and then restoring the original colour (depending on what fibres the carpet is manufactured from).

Dyeing Carpets
Whole rooms can be dyed either to restore the original colour or dyeing to a darker shade within the same ‘colour family’ (we not able to dye to a lighter shade) or a new colour or repair a small area of colour loss. Patterned, multicoloured and sculptured carpets and rugs can be dyed as was as most oriental rugs.

We service both residential & commercial properties and our dyes are non-toxic and environmentally friendly and dyed areas are ready for immediate use as the dyes are colourfast.

Bleach

Spots

Almost all visible colours are obtained by the additive colour mixing of the three primary colours, red, blue and yellow. Bleach spots on carpets are caused by the bleach removing the blue and red colours from the original carpet colour leaving an area of colour loss appearing as a yellow or sometimes orange or even a white spot when all colour has been removed. No amount of cleaning or chemicals will be able to remove this spot as the bleach literally removes the pigment from the carpet. Sometimes other cleaning chemicals are misused and also remove carpet colour, much like bleach does. Repeat soiling from urine stains may also have this effect over time. Again, these spots cannot be ‘cleaned’ out, so carpet dyeing is the only way to rectify the problem.

Our Colour Repair Process
Before dyeing the carpet, the colour repair process involves us neutralising the bleach in order to stop the bleach from being active. This is an important step as failure to neutralise it can cause the dyes we add to fade also with time. When the spot has been neutralised, we calculate the missing colour formula to match the original colour using our Colorcue software © designed by world leaders in carpet dyeing, Colorful Carpets ©. These are then carefully applied back to the bleached area of carpet fibres in order to provide a colour match. These dyes are non-toxic, permanent and colourfast and the area can be walked on immediately.
